1. Development Preview
ViewOwl is an open-source project in active development. Access to the hosted instance (if any) is provided on a best-effort basis for testing and demonstration purposes. Features, APIs, and data structures may change without notice and without backward compatibility.
2. No Warranty
ViewOwl is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of:
- Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Continuous availability or uptime
- Data retention — data may be deleted or reset at any time without notice
- Security completeness — the system is under active development and may contain vulnerabilities
3. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use ViewOwl to:
- Store or process personal data of third parties without their consent
- Use in production systems or safety-critical applications
- Attempt to circumvent security controls or access controls
- Conduct automated attacks, scraping, or abuse of the platform
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the ViewOwl contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use this software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
ViewOwl is provided free of charge. In no event shall any contributor's total liability exceed zero.
5. Open Source License
ViewOwl source code is available on GitHub and is licensed under the terms stated in the repository's License.md. These terms of use govern your use of the hosted service only and do not supersede the open-source license for the code itself.
6. Changes
These terms may be updated at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
